A Project of Compassion by the TGP National Grand Council USA

International.png

The Kapatid Ko, Mahal Ko project is a heartfelt initiative of the TGP National Grand Council USA, created to extend genuine brotherhood and meaningful support to Triskelions experiencing difficult times. Guided by the core values of unity, compassion, and service, this program reflects the true essence of fraternitas—standing together, especially when a brother or sister needs it most.

As the holiday season approached, the National Grand Council provided essential assistance to deserving Triskelions, helping them face the festive period with dignity and renewed hope. Each selected recipient received groceries worth ₱1,000, one sack of rice, and ₱2,000 in cash aid to help cover basic needs during the holidays.

For this year’s program, seven (7) Triskelions were identified and prioritized based on their circumstances:

  1. Sis. Jenica Carbonel (TGS Project 2 Chapter)

    • ₱2,000 cash, 1 sack of rice, grocery pack worth ₱1,000

    • Sole provider for her family; recently underwent gallbladder surgery

  2. Sis. Marbellyn Joyce Bello (Dioquino Chapter, Cubao)

    • ₱2,000 cash, 1 sack of rice, grocery pack worth ₱1,000

    • LGBTQ member, rape survivor, single parent, and currently without stable employment

  3. Bro. Joven B. Oderon (NCBA Cubao Chapter)

    • ₱2,000 cash, 1 sack of rice, grocery pack worth ₱1,000

    • PWD who is unable to walk, with no income, no electricity or water at home; relies on church support and help from NCBA Chapter; supported by his son

  4. Sis. Edralyn Paras Legaspi (Project 2 Community Chapter)

    • ₱2,000 cash, 1 sack of rice, grocery pack worth ₱1,000

    • Sole provider for her solo-parent mother; no permanent job aside from occasional nail art work; unable to enroll in school due to financial hardship

  5. Bro. Rodolfo Valencia Jr. (Tricycle Driver)

    • ₱2,000 cash, 1 sack of rice, grocery pack worth ₱1,000

  6. Bro. Jayson Quilitorio (Loans Chapter, Project 8 QC)

    • ₱5,000 cash assistance

    • His father, Romeo Quilitorio, is currently hospitalized and undergoing cancer treatment, creating urgent financial strain

  7. Bro. Abdul “Nhorie” Rivas (PATTS Chapter)

    • ₱2,500 cash, 1 sack of rice, grocery pack worth ₱1,000

    • Unemployed, with three children; wife also has no permanent job; caring for a mother‑in‑law who recently underwent surgery and had a leg amputated

  8. Additional Support:

    • One sack of rice donated for the Project 2 gift-giving event sponsored by TGS Project 2

All recipients received the same assistance package, except for Bro. Jayson Quilitorio, who was granted ₱5,000 due to the critical medical condition of his father. This reflects the program’s flexibility and compassion in addressing urgent needs within the brotherhood.

The TGP National Grand Council USA aims to make Kapatid Ko, Mahal Ko an annual initiative—one that consistently prioritizes Triskelions in need and ensures that no brother or sister is left behind. This year’s success was made possible through the collective generosity of the NGC councils, demonstrating once again that unity and shared responsibility remain strong within our organization.

The National Grand Council extends its deepest gratitude to the councils and individuals who supported this meaningful cause: San Diego, Inland Empire, Las Vegas, Alaska, Hawaii, Central California, and the Triskelions of Northern California, as well as Bro. Yvette Peynado of the Portland, Oregon Council for his significant contribution.

Special thanks to Sis. Teena Esteban of NCBA for her invaluable assistance, and to Bro. Nathan Nario and Bro. Art Archie Liguidliguid for representing the National Grand Council.

As we look ahead, we hope to expand this program and reach even more Triskelions in need. Those who wish to sponsor or support future Kapatid Ko, Mahal Ko initiatives are encouraged to contact any officer of the National Grand Council USA.

Together, we continue to live the spirit of kapatiran—because Kapatid Ko, Mahal Ko.
