Community Volunteerism Highlight: Triskelions of Northern California, Inc. at the Alameda County Community Food Bank

The Triskelions of Northern California, Inc. continue to be a formidable force in the fight against poverty through their unwavering commitment to community service. Recently, in collaboration with the Central California Regional Grand Council, our dedicated members volunteered at the Alameda County Community Food Bank in Oakland, CA, showcasing our passion for making a tangible impact in the community. During this impactful event, our volunteers meticulously packed and packaged an impressive 30,158 pounds of fruits, which will be distributed to the less fortunate in the community. This effort translates to providing essential nutrition to 218 families per volunteer. In addition, we packaged a total of 25,031 pounds of meals, ensuring that countless families will have access to wholesome food. The partnership with the Alameda County Food Bank underscores our commitment to addressing food insecurity and supporting those in need. However, our dedication did not stop there. Following the food bank event, our volunteers proceeded to St. Anne's Church, where we assisted in setting up for an upcoming concert benefiting the Aeta Tribe Foundation in the Philippines. This concert aims to support and uplift marginalized communities in the Philippines, reflecting our broader mission of community support and global outreach. These back-to-back volunteer events exemplify the Triskelions' dedication to eradicating poverty and improving the quality of life for those in our local and global communities. We are proud of the work accomplished and remain steadfast in our mission to serve and support those in need.
